Can you think of a better way to go than to have things go black due to a stroke and step on Heaven’s shore – Easter weekend no less??
Johnny Hart did.
He was my favorite cartoonist, and went home to Glory this weekend. (Thanks, Jonell, for pointing me to this.)
Hart drew things I occaasionally thought [...]

Brandon points to an Old West Version of the Ten Commandments I think you’ll appreciate.
Want the short and to the point version? This is it. Do more than smile, though, all right? Stop a second and think about them. They’re direct and practical as when Moses came down off Mt. Sinai [...]

We’re off to the North country for a couple of days!
Love it up there (North of Green Bay, WI)
Peace & Quiet
Home-cookin’
Wide open spaces
No internet, and the phone’s never for me.
I’m taking my pen, my Bible, and Fan the Flame.
Sherrif Taylor said he’d have Barney look after the place,
and you know Barney!
See ya’ll Monday -
Just for fun

I’m getting ready for a computer swap at work and came across this – who knows how long I’ve had it. I do remember it was sent to me as a one-word Email.
The subject line: Is There Married Life in the Animal Kingdom?

An Australian rugby team has fired its cheerleaders and is replacing them with percussionists! Honest! Take a look!
Never thought I’d see that happen …

An Honest Sign
Brenda noticed this sign at the beginning of our cold snap.
It’s on Main Street, just around the corner from us.
I smile every time I drive by on my way home from the Post Office
and today I stopped long enough to catch the picture and share it with you.
There’s never any wondering what folks [...]

Would you like to see in one 17-second video clip (Jan 21st)
Why she goes by “DramaQween”
Why we sigh “never a dull moment” so often
And why the guy whose face you don’t get see (Karl)
is going to win a medal someday?!?
Ready? Ok, double-click.
Miraculously no one was hurt.
(Don’t forget to come [...]
Chocolate Milk, Desire & Divine Love

Is Chocolate Milk addictive, or is it just me? I love chocolate milk, but reading the side panel on a half-pint container makes me nervous:
220 calories – 80 of them from fat!
Still I can gulp the the whole thing down in -like- seconds and reach for another! I think I’m in trouble.

Christmas Program Oops!
Posted in Humor, Story-Telling, church on December 21, 2006 | 1 Comment »
There are dozens of stories of things that have gone wrong in Christmas programs; I’ve been teased for a long time about the night I was reading my own narration of the story of George Albright and said “snowing throwballs” instead of “throwing snowballs”.
My favorite of all time, though, was reading (maybe in Reader’s [...]

And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks by night. Luke 2.8
Ummm it says “Shepherds”, not “sheep-dogs” - which you’re not.
And it says “at night”. Look at the sky, you guys.
Nice try, though, you’ve got the “keeping watch” part down pat.
